We educate about the lands we ride on to highlight the Indigenous ecosystems and communities who have stewarded Turtle Island since time immemorial.

We seek to raise awareness and fundraise for issues impacting Native people.

We work to create space for Native cyclists who range from daily commuters, and bike racers, to bikepackers.

Our goal is to get more Native people on bikes while providing support through mutual aid, outreach, education, bike maintenance fund, and offering scholarships to attend bike events.

Native joy above all else.

FOR FTWNB INDIGENOUS / NATIVE CYCLISTS

Native WOmen Ride

Native Women Ride was founded in March 2021 as a place to connect with and find other Native & Indigenous bike riders. What began as a virtual community on Instagram has led to many in-person meet-ups, ride groups, race groups, and community building.

We use the IG page to share our bike stories and show how our cultures connect us to the lands we ride with.

NWR funding is for Femmes, Trans, Women and Non-Binary Native and Indigenous peoples.

for all indigenous / native cyclists

The Indigenous Cycling Collective

The Indigenous Cycling Collective grew out of NWR. Native & Indigenous peoples still have low representation in the bike space and ICC is one way to support ALL of our community on bikes.

ICC funding is for ALL Native and Indigenous bike riders irrespective of gender identity.

BIPOC Multi-Sport Program

Bright Path Collective

Bright Path Collective is a DC-based multi-sport program focused on offering free movement events, clinics and classes to the local BIPOC community.

We partner with local athletes and leaders to uplift their work in community while providing opportunities that may have a financial barrier to entry or simply don’t seem accessible.

Our goal is to create connections and build community while healing the body and mind.

Bright Path Collective was launched in May 2024 and is sponsored by Strava and Arc'teryx DC.

To know the land is to love the land.

To love the land is to care for the land.

To care for the land is to live wisely with the land.

To live wisely with the land is to learn from the land.
