Instagram Stories
Our IG page Native Women Ride is filled with stories from bike riders all over Turtle Island. We feature Native bike riders while promoting healthy living and environmental awareness. Some riders focus on racing while others on commuting and community building. We also raise awareness about the land we all ride on, centering our ecosystems and the centuries-long relationships Native people have had to them.

Awareness & Community Rides
One of our main goals is community building. We do this by creating group rides, events and uplifting awareness rides. Since 2021 we have raised $3,800 for Native students in public health at the University of Arizona. We also rode 250 miles from D.C. to Carlisle, PA to raise awareness about Native American boarding schools. We raised $5k for The National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition. Since 2023 we have been working with the Gaza Sunbirds to create bike rides throughout the world.

Community
We wouldn’t be here with the support of the BIPOC and LGBTQAI2S cycling community. We come together for awareness rides, at races, and on panels to show solidarity for issues impacting each of our communities. From trans-rights, equal access to education, women’s rights, voting rights, BLM, environmental awareness & climate change, mental health, to Indigenous sovereignty and land rights. Community first.

BRIGHT PATH COLLECTIVE
Bright Path Collective was launched in May 2024 and is sponsored by Strava and Arc'teryx DC.
BPC is a DC-based multi-sport program focused on offering free movement events, clinics, and classes to the local BIPOC community. We partner with local athletes and leaders to uplift their work in community while providing opportunities that may have a financial barrier to entry or simply don’t seem accessible. Our goal is to create connections and build community while healing the body and mind.
